About Us
EchoLine Ecology is a Central Coast-based environmental consultancy providing practical ecology and vegetation management support for landholders, planners, councils and project teams.
Regularly working across Lake Macquarie, Newcastle, Port Stephens and the Hunter, EchoLine Ecology provides site inspections, vegetation assessments, restoration planning and preliminary ecological advice for development and land management projects. NSW-wide support is available for suitable projects.
Our work is focused on helping clients understand site constraints, identify relevant environmental considerations and plan practical next steps. Where a project requires specialist surveys, accredited assessment or additional technical input, this can be identified early in the process.

Qualifications & Experience
Environmental Consultant & Ecologist
Kaitlen Rawsthorne is an environmental consultant and founder of EchoLine Ecology.
She holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science and Management and has experience in private consultancy and local government, supporting councils, planners and landholders with ecological assessment, vegetation management and practical environmental advice.
Kaitlen’s work focuses on small to medium-scale development and land management projects, with experience in vegetation assessment, ecological reporting, rural land clearing pathways and habitat management.
She has a particular interest in microbat acoustic monitoring, restoration ecology and vegetation management planning, and enjoys helping clients translate environmental requirements into practical next steps for their projects.
