About Us
EchoLine Ecology is a specialist ecological consultancy based in New South Wales, supporting landholders, planners, councils and developers with clear, practical ecological advice.
Operating across the Central Coast, Sydney, Hunter and Blue Mountains regions, EchoLine Ecology provides site-specific assessments and guidance to support planning approvals, land management and biodiversity outcomes.
We deliver straightforward ecological advice that helps projects move forward while meeting environmental requirements. Our work focuses on clear, proportionate solutions that align with NSW biodiversity frameworks and real-world project needs.
Our approach
Our approach is simple: good science, clearly explained.
We use targeted survey methods to understand ecological constraints, species presence and habitat use, without unnecessary disturbance. This includes microbat acoustic monitoring where appropriate.
We translate ecological findings into clear, practical advice so clients can make informed decisions and navigate environmental requirements with confidence.
Our Services
EchoLine Ecology delivers clear, practical ecological advice to support planning, development and land management outcomes across New South Wales.
We work with councils, planners, developers and private landholders on projects ranging from small residential assessments to larger-scale restoration and management programs.
Vegetation Management Plans (VMPs)
Preparation of clear, compliant Vegetation Management Plans to guide native vegetation restoration, weed control and long-term site management. Each plan is tailored to site conditions and council requirements, with a focus on practical, achievable outcomes that work on the ground.
Flora and Fauna Assessments
Preparation of clear, compliant ecological assessments to identify vegetation, habitat values and potential constraints for planning and development. Each assessment is tailored to the site and relevant legislation, providing practical, defensible advice to support planning decisions and project outcomes. Suitable for development applications, ecological constraints assessments and due diligence.
Weed Mapping and Restoration Planning
Detailed weed mapping, prioritisation and management recommendations to support effective rehabilitation and long-term site outcomes, with a focus on practical, evidence-based restoration tailored to site conditions.
Acoustic Monitoring and Microbat Call Analysis
Non-invasive microbat monitoring using ultrasonic detectors to assess species presence, habitat use and activity patterns, supporting biodiversity assessments, development applications and impact assessment with clear, defensible reporting aligned to project requirements.
Ecological Site Inspections and Monitoring
Regular ecological inspections, photopoint monitoring and compliance checks to track vegetation condition, restoration progress and overall site performance over time, supporting compliance requirements, reporting and ongoing site management.
Wildlife & Microbat Habitat Boxes
Provision of durable, untreated timber habitat boxes for birds, possums and microbats, designed to suit species-specific requirements, with guidance on installation and optional follow-up monitoring to support habitat outcomes, compliance and long-term site management.
